The world got a sweet new baby girl last week. Frankie Rose was born January 11th at approximately 4:30 PM.

Halloween number 3 for Sadie

Growing up my mom always made our Halloween costumes. She has a real talent for it. With the advent of grandchildren, she has upped her game! This year mom suggested that Sadie be The Red Queen. Seeing how Sadie still has no opinion in the matter I obliged. I'm glad I did since I think she out did herself this year.

Road Trip: Dinosaur Valley State Park

On our weekend road trip to the Dallas area we stayed overnight in Glen Rose, Texas to visit Dinosaur Valley State Park. Glen Rose is about a hour southwest of Dallas. It's a really beautiful area of Texas. It reminded me a lot of the Austin area.

Road Trip: State Fair of Texas!

With the cooler air and the slower work schedule we decided to take a road trip up to Dallas to visit the State Fair. I had never been to the State Fair of Texas but had been trying to convince Evan to make the trip for the last few years. Evan had an itch for a road trip and since it was fall I talked him into the fair. As it turns out this was the first trip for all of us.

Honeymoon: Paris Part 2

On our second full day in Paris we decided to take the train to Versailles and tour the Palace of Versailles. It was a surprisingly easy place to reach. The train drops you off about 2 blocks from the Palace. Words don't really do it justice. My pictures don't do it justice either but here you go....

Honeymoon: Paris Part 1

Paris is where we started our honeymoon trip. It was lovely! The bread is better than I imagined and the croissants melted in my mouth! We had a croissant when we went to London and it was rock hard. It will be hard to eat a non Parisian croissant again! We walked down the Seine river over and and over again (thinking "we're strolling around in PARIS"), drank French wine, and had delish pizza!

We had so much fun in London. You can see what we did inside the city here. On our last full day in England we headed outside of the city on a guided tour. This is the first tour of this sort I've ever done. I normally like to roam around myself and get lost several times. This tour basically took you to and from places and then when you get there you can explore on your own. We had a great experience with it. Here is where we went.
